Their conclusions point to the possibility that omega-3 fatty acids can help protect against cellular aging in patients with coronary and lengthen their lives. Telomere shortening has also been related to oxidative and free radical damage. Increasing marine intake along with a wide array of antioxidants and supporting nutrients can help slow the shortening process and have an effect on cells.
